In April, the Unidome XS concrete shaper system received official DIBt approval Z-15.1-353 based on the Eurocode. This German approval from the German Institute of Construction Technology is considered one of the most important milestones for the use of innovative voidformer slabs in concrete construction. Almost at the same time, the ICC Evaluation Service published the ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-4762, which confirms the application in accordance with the American ACI standard.
These two independent approvals underline the high quality, safety and technical performance of Unidome concrete shapers and create a reliable basis for international use.
Unidome also has other official approvals in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and Egypt. The system is thus deployed worldwide and offers builders, planners and authorities the necessary planning security to implement sustainable and innovative projects with voided slabs — both in prefabricated construction (e.g. filigree slab, semi-prefabricated slab, element slab) as well as in classic cast-in-place concrete solutions.
Unidome's tested voidfomer elements and concreteshapers enable significant concrete savings and make an important contribution to reducing CO₂ in construction. By displacing concrete in the slab, the dead weight is reduced without affecting the load-bearing capacity or safety. The result is lighter, more efficient and resource-saving reinforced concrete flat slabs that fit perfectly into modern concepts of sustainable construction.
With international approvals, Unidome is strengthening trust in its innovative products — and offering the construction industry worldwide a powerful solution for sustainable concrete slabs in residential, commercial and major projects.
