The new “BAG Gartencenter Öhringen” building is currently being built in Öhringen. Particular attention is paid to the roof slab, which is built with a thickness of 40 cm and several large openings for skylights. Sustainable Unidome void former technology is used, in which special concrete formers serve as lost formwork and displace the concrete in a targeted manner.
The use of unidome concrte shapers significantly reduces the self-load of the slab. At the same time, the innovative construction enables significant concrete savings and thus contributes to a significant CO₂ reduction. As a result, the slab can be made slimmer than a conventional solid concrete slab — a clear advantage in terms of material efficiency and sustainability.
In addition, the connection to the canopy is equipped with thermal insulation, which further improves the energy efficiency of the building. This project shows once again how the Unidome voided slab contributes to resource conservation, climate protection and sustainable construction through intelligent concrete displacement.
The Unidome Group would like to thank all project participants for their excellent cooperation.
