July 2023: Unidome on TV on DMAX — Heroes of the Construction Site

The well-known TV program “Heroes of the Construction Site” on DMAX focused on sustainable Unidome technology, among other things. In four series of contributions, it was shown how modern voided slabs are created through the use of unidome concrete shapers and what contribution they make to climate protection, material efficiency and sustainable construction.

The focus was on the Klinik-Campus Lörrach construction project, which saved around 1,620 cubic meters of concrete through the use of Unidome void former elements. This corresponds to a reduction in building load of more than 4,000 tons and a reduction in CO₂ emissions of around 340 tons. Here, the unidome void former modules act as lost formwork in the reinforced concrete flat slabs and displace concrete in areas subject to less static stress. The result is a lightweight yet sturdy voided slab with significant advantages in terms of load reduction, cement savings and resource conservation.

The article on DMAX impressively shows how Unidome technology works in practice and how it contributes to the development of modern, sustainable buildings. This makes it clear once again that Unidome voied slabs not only stand for efficiency and lightweight construction, but also for construction that meets the requirements of climate protection and sustainable construction.
