Bochum University of Applied Sciences is currently conducting admission tests for innovative and climate-friendly precast slabs. The focus is on shear force tests on plates with the new Unidome Displacers XP. These void formers were specially developed for use in semi-prefabricated slabs and enable significant concrete savings and a significant CO₂ reduction.
The Unidome Group would like to thank the fdu team under the management of Thomas Beike for manufacturing the test specimens and the Department of Solid Construction at Bochum University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Professor Andrej Albert for their professional implementation.
The results of the tests already show the potential of Unidome void former technology for sustainable construction in the area of element slabs. The combination of Unidome concrete shapers with modern semi-prefabricated slab creates a construction that places equal emphasis on material efficiency, climate protection and economic efficiency.
We are very much looking forward to putting this innovative construction method into practice in numerous projects soon and thus making a further contribution to the future of resource-saving construction.
