The structural shell of "The Berlinian" high-rise project at Alexanderplatz in Berlin is now largely complete, reaching a height of 146 meters across 33 floors. One of the many unique features of this project was the use of voided slab technology from the Unidome Group. The project sets new standards for material efficiency, CO2 reduction, and innovative construction methods.
Key highlights:
- Use of Unidome slabs (24 and 25 cm) for all floor slabs => savings of nearly 900 m3 of concrete.
- Reduction of total load by approximately 2,250 tons due to the lightweight building structure.
- Avoided CO2 emissions: approx. 190 tons.
- Enabled the construction of additional floors.
