“Sustainability and concrete construction (semi-finished parts) — how do they fit together in the future? ”

We at Unidome asked ourselves this question and came up with an answer together with the FDU. Yesterday on Monday, March 17, 2025, Dr. Karsten Pfeffer from Unidome and Dirk Schinke from the fdu in Voerde gave a technical presentation.

This presentation was about material-efficient and climate-friendly hollow body technology, which is used in element slabs. There were exciting initial insights into construction site practice, examples of planning and dimensioning and, of course, the comparison of hollow ceiling versus solid ceiling — material & CO₂ savings.
